Kenwood Electronics (Hong Kong) Ltd.


Kenwood Electronics (Hong Kong) Limited is a subsidiary of the Kenwood Corporation in Japan.

In 1971, Trio Electronics, Inc. (the previous name of Kenwood Corporation) established a joint venture company in Hong Kong named as Kenwood & Lee Electronics Limited.

Trio Electronics, Inc. changed its company name to Kenwood Corporation in 1986.

In 1991, Kenwood Corporation acquired the major shares of Kenwood & Lee which then became a subsidiary of the Kenwood Corporation. The Chinese name of Kenwood & Lee was changed at the same time.

In order to conform with the rest of the Kenwood Group, Kenwood & Lee changed its English name to Kenwood Electronics (Hong Kong) Limited in 1999.

Kenwood Hong Kong has two divisions : Audio Division handling car hi-fi products and Communications Division handling land mobile radio and communication equipments.

Locating at the southern door of the People's Republic of China, Kenwood Hong Kong is proud to be the main hub of the Kenwood Group to serve the region. Bearing the philosophy and mission of Kenwood, Kenwood Hong Kong will continue, in the 21st century, to provide quality products and services to our customers, business partners and the region as a whole.
